From An Idea
In 2019, James Clark of Calvary Assembly of God Church came to Jeff Martin with his idea of an independently ran community center, open to an entire communities.

Jeff, unbeknownst to Clark, already envisioned plans for a Boys and Girls club. Jeff ran home to get all the plans and information he had regarding the concept. After showing this information in Pastor Clark, The concept of The Connection Center started.
Health & Wellness
In 2021, The Connection Center started right next to Calvary Church as The Health And Wellness Building. The Connection Center is operated as an independent non-profit entity. Providing a variety of services to connect people, body, soul, and spirit. Programs like the Medical Clinic and Counseling are just a few services of what The Connection Center offered at that time.
Phase II - The Rec
Not long after, construction started for the development of The Rec. The Rec is The Connection Center's indoor facility, allowing for more community events, sports, activities, leagues, tournaments, etc. Construction lasted up until May of 2024, where The Rec soft-launched to the public.
Phase II Complete
In December, The Rec had its Official Grand Opening to the public alongside the DeMotte Chamber of Commerce. Since then they have been providing many different events for DeMotte and surrounding towns, such as festivals, clubs, youth/adult leagues, and more.
What Now?
The Connection Center still pursues the mission of connecting people together. Thanks to donors, volunteers, staff, and memberships, The Connection Center has continued to offer many different services and events to the public. Visit our calendar to see all the ways you can get involved today!
